Dental implants are artificial roots made of high clarity titanium. It is designed to replace you lost teeth with stability and for a long period of time.

Biologically friendly
Titanium implants have characteristics that enable a proper bone-integration, while it proves to be advantageous to the bone itself.
Non-allergic
Quality implants cause no allergic reactions even for patients with metal allergy. This is due to the titanium itself being body-friendly and the special treatment of the implants’ surface.

What is an implant surgery?
Implantation requires serious knowledge and experience. Important part of the preparation is the thorough examination of a 3D CT scan that enables the surgeon to measure bone density and general structure. The dentist’s decision as for what size, diameter and system is going to be used and approximately where will be based this initial examination.
What happens before the surgery?
For a successful implantation it is essential you have sufficient enough bone and that your health condition in general makes you a good candidate for implantation. Ignored diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or osteoporosis makes you ineligible.
The overall condition of your other teeth should also be good enough. This means there shouldn’t be any dental issue at the time of implantation that could cause infection.
What happens after the implantation?
The surgery is followed by 3-4 months healing during which the implant screws get partially integrated into the surrounding bone hence stabilized. Excluding special cases implants are not loaded permanently with prosthetics in this period, however, temporary teeth may be made for aesthetic purposes.
When the healing period is successfully over the final aesthetic crown is made for the artificial root. This crown has the shape and colour of a natural tooth. Once the crown is fitted the treatment is finally completed and you are free to load the implant tooth without restriction just as you used to with your own natural teeth. You can live a full life and eat or drink whatever you wish.
